To engage students, scholars, faculty and staff in advancing insightful research that fosters respect for culture and tradition, conservation of the environment, upholding of indigenous knowledge, and inclusion of multiple perspectives, especially indigenous/tribal worldviews and values, and the practice of gender equity. To cultivate socially relevant research that emphasizes positionality and reflexivity, encourages participatory and intervention-based investigation, promotes inductive approaches, and stresses social validity, ensuring that research outcomes are beneficial to our communities. To also empower Gen Z researchers to pursue research that is especially impactful for contemporary youth.
